She began her educational pursuits at the University of Hertfordshire, where she graduated as the youngest student from the Law School with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). She went on to earn a Master of Laws (LLM) in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law from the University of East Anglia. Upon returning to Nigeria, she attended the Nigerian Law School, where she was inducted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Her commitment to entrepreneurship and social good earned her the Global Leader Award from the Stephen Young Institute.
Karen is also a philanthropist, having founded the Katwig Kare Foundation, which provides health-focused workshops, free healthcare services, group therapy, and sanitary products to over 600 women and young girls in Africa. Her efforts in promoting women’s wellness and empowerment reflect her dedication to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Edidiong Umoh began her academic journey at Afe Babalola University in Nigeria, where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Following her graduation, she attended the Nigerian Law School, earning her Barrister at Law Certificate and qualifying as a legal practitioner. Her early career included roles as an attorney at A.O. Alegeh & Co. and later as a regulatory services consultant at Andersen in Nigeria. In these positions, Edidiong honed her expertise in dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and business advisory.
