At just 20 years old, he became the youngest person to qualify as a doctor in the nation, graduating from the Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in 2013. This remarkable achievement is just the beginning of an extraordinary career marked by resilience, passion, and dedication to serving his community.
Dr. Kubheka’s journey began in Madadeni, KwaZulu-Natal, where he attended Jobstown Primary School. A precocious student, he completed two grades in one year and matriculated from Siyamukela High School at the tender age of 15.
