About us

Rising Africa (www.RisingAfrica.org) is a pan-African social enterprise with a core agenda of changing the narrative about Africa on the media landscape. At Rising Africa, we want to populate the media space with inspiring success stories of Africa.
Africa have had her fair share of challenges but despite going through so much, this generation still keeps the hope of a prosperous Africa alive for the unborn, against all odds. This generation is full of achievers, while some are household names, others are unsung or totally unknown. All these achievers are ordinary men and women who have risen above these challenges, shown their CAN-DO spirit and are INNOVATING and making LEADERSHIP impact in society.
At Rising Africa we call these achievers RISING AFRICANS and we seek to tell their inspiring success stories so as to generate and encourage the ‘CAN-DO’ attitude in others.
Our vision is to become the #1 inspirational hub that celebrate and inspire African success.
We seek to provide an aggregator (one-stop platform) for all these great African stories scattered all over the internet and other media platforms and that makes us unique in that space.

Our Stories

Our stories cover Africans at all age levels (Wonder Kids section covers Africans from age 7 to 12, Super Teens  between 13 to 19 years old and Young Achievers from 20 to 30 years old) and in every sector of the economy (Science, Business, Entrepreneurship, Governance, Technology, Education, Sports, Agriculture, Education, Medicine, Entertainment and more).

Our special Projects

1. RAN Africa Events – www.ranafrica.org

RAN Africa (Rising African Network – RAN) is our network of passionate persons who want to be change agents on the continent.
Network members will have the opportunity to organize local networking events to promote empowerment, activism, mentorship, entrepreneurship, community engagement and career development amongst RISING AFRICANS.

Our first event was held in January this year at the British Council Ghana auditorium where we had Honorable Jon Benjamin (British High Commissioner to Ghana), Bright Simons (President of mPedigree Network) and Esther Armah (writer, radio host at Citi FM and journalism lecturer at AUCC and Webster University) as our speakers on the night.
Through the Formation of strategic partnership with various organizations, we hope to have RAN Africa events in every Countries capital in Africa by 2020 and grow to become local platforms for knowledge sharing and activism amongst Africans.
RAN Africa will also be involved in empowerment and mentorship programs in various educational institutions especially in the deprived communities.

2. Sheroes of Africa – www.sheroesofafrica.org

At Rising Africa, we put women at the centre stage. We believe that women are powerful and key catalyst for change.
SHEROES OF AFRICA is Rising Africa’s empowering effort at supporting and celebrating our queens. SHEROES OF AFRICA will not only be serving our students and professionals but will also be involved in mentoring the younger generation especially those in deprived and rural communities through various outreaches and projects.

In www.sheroesofafrica.org, we hope to build a community for our sheroes, allowing them connect with each other and share experiences through forum discussions, contributing articles, attending capacity building and networking events and giving back to society through mentoring and coaching the younger generation and the underprivileged.
