Brooke Coleman is an entrepreneur and owner of the restaurant, Stuffed Enuff. Before starting her restaurant business, Coleman was homeless and out there trying to make ends meet as a pregnant single mother.
One night, Coleman looked at her family and decided to do something about her situation. She was determined to work hard so that she would make something of herself and never have to return to the homeless shelter.
“I was going through a struggle. One night I looked at my family and decided I was never going to be in that situation again. I knew if I worked hard, I would never have to go back to that shelter,” she told Dayton.
With the little money she had accumulated, she enrolled in a Sinclair Community College’s culinary arts program. That was the first of many she embarked on to improve her life and living conditions. After her training, she decided to start a small catering operation where she became known as “Chef B.”
She subsequently used the experience she had acquired to launch her own restaurant in Dayton, Ohio, and was appropriately named Stuffed Enuff since most items on the menu can be stuffed with a variety of ingredients, according to Dayton.
Some of the ingredients used by Coleman include spinach, pineapple, hash browns, tomatoes, eggs, jalapenos, among others. Also, the restaurant offers stuffed rolls, stuffed burgers, and stuffed meat that customers can customize with whichever stuffing they like. The customization possibilities are endless.
What is more, the restaurant offers chicken wings and a selection of 8 dips. Soul Food menu is also available on Sundays and customers have the take-out option or an all-you-can-eat buffet.
The restaurant opens every day and on Fridays and Saturdays, it stays open until 3:30 a.m. to serve the late-night crowd, Coleman told Dayton when she opened her restaurant in December 2019.
“I knew I wanted to do something different from what any other restaurant was doing,” Coleman said of her menu.
